Why do you charge a fee?
The content and resources on Candle Scoop are all provided by volunteers. We limit the rendering of ads to provide a better user experience. Our membership fees help us offset the costs of maintaining this site and ensuring that we can continuously provide updated, useful information for our readers.
Is my information secure?
Yes! Our website includes an active SSL certificate. We also use Hackscan and the security initiatives of our hosting provider to keep our site and content secure. We handle payments through Stripe and our email service is MailChimp. We never, ever sell our member’s information to third parties. We take your security and safety on our website as our number one priority.
Can I gift a membership to someone?
Sure! Check out as you normally would, then email us with the name and email of the person you would like to gift a membership. We'll create discount coupon for that special person to claim their gifted membership. You can email them the code or we can do it on your behalf - your choice! If your gift recipient is already a member of Candle Scoop, the gift will be added on to their existing membership, at no additional cost to them. Your gift membership is only for the length of time that you specify upon checkout. You will not be charged again for the any of the recipient’s additional membership fees should they decide to renew. Email us if you need us to help walk you through it.
